This week's art is for...
No one in particular. I just was thinking about this one.

It is Agnolo Bronzino's Allegory of Lust. Italian, 1540ish. I love it. It's the end of the Renaissance, moving into mannerism, which was the elongation (frequently to ridiculous extremes) of bodies. Other examples include folks like Parmagianino, who isn't a type of pasta but rather the artist of the famous Madonna of the Long Neck. Anyway, about this one...yes, that is Venus and Cupid. So not just lust, but incestuous lust! whee!!
