I had tickets to the Chamber Music Society Concert last night, and it was a great program. Some normal conservative piece, a Phillip Glass piece which I loved, and a Faure piece. Phillip Glass has always reminded me of this:
Same elements, some sweeping gestures, lots of little one, initially irritating, but it grows on you. It's a very different kind of expressiveness, but can be very soothing, in its own way.
I then went over to
demoness101's apartment for her birthday, where I hung out with science geeks and ate cheesecake. On the way home, I had several impressively scary skidding incidents, because we have snow. This am, I woke up to lots of it, and it is still coming down. woohoo. or something like that.
